Capgemini Joins the Mobile Satellite Services Association (MSSA)

August 28, 2025 – Capgemini is proud to announce its membership in the Mobile Satellite Services Association (MSSA) – an industry initiative dedicated to evolving direct-to-device (D2D) IoT, and other advanced Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) connectivity. Launched in February 2024, the MSSA brings together ecosystem leaders committed to leveraging L- and S-band spectrum to extend mobile coverage globally. Through the coordinated deployment of technical standards and enhancement of regulatory frameworks, the association is paving the way for scalable, sustainable, and affordable connectivity – anytime, anywhere, on any device. Joining MSSA reflects our commitment to shaping the future of satellite communication solutions alongside our customers and partners, unlocking innovation across industries from cellular and industrial to automotive, agriculture, and government

By combining satellite system engineering along with 5G NTN software assets offering architectural flexibility, standards compliance, and vertical/horizontal scalability, our intent is to help Satellite Equipment Providers, Ground Station Providers, Satellite Manufacturers, Satellite Terminal Manufacturers and Satellite/Mobile Network Operators (SNOs/ MNOs) to either build greenfield networks or upgrade existing satellite systems with 5G NR NTN capabilities

“MSSA is continuing to strengthen its key initiatives through a growing membership of organizations from across the mobile connectivity ecosystem,” said Mark Dankberg, Board Chairman of MSSA. “New additions like Capgemini help as the Association is working to shape future terrestrial and advanced non-terrestrial network integration, and support a global, open architecture with standards-based interoperability that will enable seamless roaming across multiple satellite and mobile networks.
